About

Dorcas Destiny International is a Freeport-based nonprofit organization founded by Donna V. Werner in 2017 to provide tangible support to children and women in Kenya, East Africa.

Our work includes daily school feeding programs, educational enrichment, child sponsorship, high school scholarships, support for women and families, mission trips, and other programs designed to meet practical needs while building long-term relationships.

There are many ways for people right here in Freeport and Northwest Illinois to become part of the work. Individuals, businesses, churches, civic groups, and community organizations can donate, sponsor programs, serve on our Board or fundraising committee, organize volunteer work groups, help sort and pack donations bound for Kenya, participate in fundraising events, join a mission trip, or help us expand our reach by following and sharing our work.
