Select Hardwoods, LLC is a family-owned and operated retail furniture store, and sawmill business situated among the beautiful, rolling hills of Northwestern, Illinois.  We build, but are not limited to, live edge tables, countertops, fireplace mantles, and hearth boards.  We specialize in walnut, cherry, oak, red cedar, and spalted maple.

The process of building furniture involves much labor behind the scenes. First, the slabs of wood are air dried, and kiln dried; this process can take a year.  The second phase includes the actual woodworking process of planing, designing, and hand-crafting solid wood tables. Many of these tables carry their own signature uniqueness.  In addition to selling furniture from our showroom, we often work with customers in the design phase to create custom furniture. Our furniture is built to be enjoyed to last for generations.
